Custom-word bingo
One unit is one unique card. A 5×5 card shows 24 words plus a free centre square, so your word list needs at least 24 entries — and more than 24 if you want the cards to differ from one another.

Plan one card per player per round: a two-hour party of 20 guests playing 5 rounds needs 100 cards. The arithmetic is simply players × rounds, then add about ten per cent for latecomers and ruined cards. A one-hour game runs two to three rounds; two hours runs four to six.
Up to 50 cards are free on SnapBingoX. Bigger events are one-time packs — 100 cards for US$10, 350 for US$20, 600 for US$30 — with no subscription.
Cards needed = guests × rounds. The pack column shows the smallest SnapBingoX event that covers it.

Round counts assume six to ten seconds between calls and a short break between games. A 75-ball line game typically ends after 15–25 calls; a full-house or blackout game runs much longer, so count a blackout round as two.
Start with cards = guests × rounds. Twenty guests over five rounds is 20 × 5 = 100 cards. Then apply three adjustments, in this order:
Working the other way is just as useful. If your budget is the free 50-card tier, then 50 ÷ guests = the number of rounds you can run with fresh cards: 10 guests get 5 rounds, 25 guests get 2.
The unit differs by game type, and 90-ball surprises people.

Word templates →One unit is one unique 5×5 card with a free centre. The numbers 1–75 are split across the B-I-N-G-O columns, fifteen numbers per column.
75-ball vs 90-ball →One unit is a complete strip of six 3×9 tickets, and every strip contains the numbers 1–90 exactly once. So a 50-unit 90-ball event is 50 strips — 300 tickets. Budget by strips, not tickets.
90-ball tickets →One card for a first-time or casual player, three to four for a regular home player, four to six for an experienced hall player. Past about six cards, nearly everyone starts missing marks: at a call every ten seconds, six cards leave under two seconds per card to find or dismiss the number, while also listening for the next call.
More cards do improve your odds inside a single game — holding four of a hundred cards in play is a 4% chance of holding the winner, against 1% with one card — but only if every card is marked correctly. An unmarked winning card is a win nobody claims. The full technique for playing several cards, and the point where an app should take over the daubing, is in how to keep track of multiple bingo cards.
For hosts, this matters at planning time: if your regulars play three cards each, multiply the table above by three before you print.
What it costs
SnapBingoX is free for events of up to 50 card units, printable PDF and caller included. Beyond that, an event pack is a one-time purchase for one event, not a subscription: US$10 for up to 100 units, US$20 for up to 350, US$30 for up to 600. No account is required to make cards.
10 guests, 3 rounds? 30 cards — free.
20 guests, 5 rounds? 100 cards — the US$10 pack.
40 guests, 5 rounds? 200 cards — the US$20 pack.
100 guests, 5 rounds? 500 cards — the US$30 pack.
Start with the free tier →One card per guest per round: 20 cards for one round, 60 for three, 100 for five. A two-hour party usually fits four to six rounds, so 100 cards is the safe number to prepare for 20 guests.
30 cards per round. Four rounds is 120 cards, six rounds is 180. Both sit inside the 350-card pack; three rounds or fewer with reusable markers keeps you inside the free 50-card tier.
One card per page is the readable default for 75-ball and word bingo, and it is what large-print senior games need. Printing two to a page saves paper but shrinks the squares below comfortable daubing size for most players.
Yes for anything competitive — duplicate cards produce two simultaneous winners and an awkward tiebreak. Duplicates are fine deliberately in a classroom, where a teacher may want two pupils working the same card as a pair.
Generate everything you need in one go before printing. Cards printed from one game share that game's ID, which is what lets a phone track and check them as a set — see running a paper game from your phone.
Up to 50 unique cards free, print-ready PDF, no account. Larger events are a one-time pack.
